Nalin Amin, MD, FRCS(C), CCFP

Dr. Amin is a specialist in Advanced Laparoscopic and General Surgery. He completed his medical training followed by a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba in 2002. Following this he completed a general surgery residency at McMaster University in 2007. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopic and General Surgery at the Staten Island University Hospital in New York in 2008.

Dr. Amin is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University in Hamilton and practices Advanced Laparoscopic and General Surgery at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton. He actively supervises residents and medical students in General

Surgery and is the program director for the educational program for junior residents in all surgical disciplines at McMaster University. His research interests are in Surgical Education and his clinical interests are in pursuing minimally invasive surgery for all abdominal operations.
